I’m closely monitoring the impacts of the Colonial Pipeline cyber-attack and reports of gas shortages in Raleigh. At this time, it’s important to only fill your tank if it’s necessary. If you suspect price gouging, please report it to the NC Attorney General’s office.  I’m encouraged by the Department of Energy’s efforts and am hopeful we can get this resolved quickly.

Happy Mother’s Day!

My mother was a member of the League of Women Voters during the height of the Women’s Rights Movement. She was frustrated by the lack of female representation in office at the local level so she got her friends to run and vote together. This impacted me greatly as a young girl and encouraged me to get involved and later run for public office. My mother has been a constant inspiration to me.
