Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the world needs science and science needs women. Women and girls play a critical role in the science community and their participation should be strengthened. We need more #WomenInScience to beat pandemics and solve the most challenging problems we face today.
