The killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti in broad daylight by a federal agent in Minneapolis is horrifying and deeply disturbing. The American people do not want violent, untrained, armed agents terrorizing our communities. There must be justice and accountability. ICE needs to leave Minnesota and Kristi Noem needs to resign.
53rd Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
Today marks the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Since it was overturned nearly four years ago, Republicans have unleashed extreme abortion bans in North Carolina and across the country. I will never back down from the fight to restore this fundamental freedom and ensure women control their own bodies and their health care.

Higher Insurance Premiums Incoming
Republicans in Congress are ringing in the new year by delivering higher premiums to millions of Americans. The ACA tax credits expire at midnight, and so many will face skyrocketing costs or have to give up coverage altogether. This is unacceptable, and I will keep fighting to end this Republican health care crisis.
