No one should ever visit these places worried about being a victim in the next mass shooting. But, that is the reality of today’s America.
Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, and my heart breaks for every person who knows the pain of losing a loved one to senseless gun violence.
Our country is in the middle of a gun violence epidemic, a preventable crisis. That’s why I supported and voted for two common-sense bills to strengthen background checks in the House. Now, it’s time for the Senate to do the same so President Biden can sign these critical bills into law.
