Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Deborah Ross for Congress (the Campaign, we, us) collects, uses, and shares personal information through deborahross.com (the Site).
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you sign up for updates, we collect your email address, postal code, and state. If you make a contribution, ActBlue collects your name, address, contact information, and payment details on our behalf, and, for contributions that trigger federal reporting thresholds, your occupation and employer.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your visit, including pages viewed, general location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the Site.
- Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from voter file vendors, data cooperatives, and other organizations that support campaign outreach.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Communicate with you about the Campaign, including fundraising appeals, volunteer opportunities, and updates on Deborah Ross’s positions and activities.
- Process and record contributions, including meeting federal recordkeeping and disclosure obligations described below.
- Analyze and improve the Site’s content and performance.
- Comply with applicable law.
Federal contribution disclosure
Federal law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals who contribute more than $200 in an election cycle to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and this information becomes part of the public record maintained by the FEC. This disclosure obligation exists independently of this Privacy Policy and of any privacy practices of our payment processor.
How we share information
We share information with the service providers who help us operate the Site and run the Campaign, including:
- ActBlue—processes contributions made through the Site’s Donate link. Contribution and payment information is handled under ActBlue’s own privacy policy once you leave the Site.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, and Google Ads)—provides Site analytics and manages advertising and remarketing.
- Meta (Facebook Pixel)—supports advertising measurement on Facebook and Instagram.
- Automattic/Jetpack—provides Site analytics (WordPress.com Stats).
- Email service providers—deliver our newsletters and outgoing mail.
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising, and embedded content.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data security
