Overturning Roe v. Wade would be a blatant attack on reproductive freedom and violate nearly 50 years of legal precedent. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe, many more states in the U.S., including North Carolina, could be emboldened to enact abortion bans, disproportionally hurting women. I have been fighting for women’s rights for decades and in Congress I continue that fight. The House passed the Women’s Health Protection Act to ensure that all people have access to reproductive freedom regardless of where they live in the country. It’s time this bill becomes law.
