Graduates of the North Carolina State University Wilson College of Textiles got a surprise during their commencement event on Friday.
During the event, donor Anil Kochhar announced that he and his wife, Marilyn, would be covering all student loans taken out by Wilson College graduates in the 2025-2026 school year.
Kochhar’s father, Prakash Chand Kochhar, arrived to NC State 80 years ago to further his textiles education. To help honor his memory, Anil Kochhar and his wife also established three endowments for students and faculty.
