I wanted to take a moment to send you my warmest wishes this holiday season.

It’s an understatement to say this year has been challenging. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy, and that you’re able to take some time to relax as this year comes to an end.

As I reflect on this past year, I’m so incredibly grateful that you’ve stood by my side through it all. We flipped our district blue for the first time in a decade and forged a new path forward for our community and for our country. That’s no small feat. And without your support, it wouldn’t have been possible.

I’m so grateful for our healthcare workers who have saved countless lives, our teachers who have navigated uncharted waters to continue educating our students virtually, the restaurant workers, grocery store workers, and all people working on the front lines who have kept our country going. Thank you.

I’m hopeful 2021 will be better. We can already see the light at the end of the tunnel with the first COVID-19 vaccines being distributed across the country.

In just a couple of weeks, I’m heading to Washington—I’m ready to get to work to deliver real results for the people of Wake County. We’re going to fight for better healthcare, an economy that works for everyone, better education, and so much more. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but I know this team can accomplish just about anything when we work together.

Wishing you a happy holiday season and a safe and healthy 2021.
