This week is critical as we deal with the aftermath of a Supreme Court term that rolled back fundamental rights. We continue to suffer blow after blow stunting our progress and limiting our rights, and it’s time they’re held to the most basic ethical standards. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to take action and demand the Court have an ethics code that protects the American people. We must hold Justices accountable for their actions to protect and preserve justice for our future.

The Supreme Court’s conservative majority overturned decades of legal precedent and progress toward equality by ending Affirmative Action. This is unacceptable. Affirmative Action has been crucial in ensuring students get the education they deserve while promoting diversity on campuses & creating more opportunities for students of color. We must restore these protections that SCOTUS has stripped away from our students.

Republicans have turned the NDAA into another partisan ploy to force their extreme agenda onto the American people. Our women in uniform put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country and should have access to the health care they need without question—including abortions. The GOP is disincentivizing half of all Americans from joining our armed forces and it will not stand. I did not vote for this extreme bill because it does the exact opposite of what Congress is supposed to do. I stand with our armed forces & am ready to pass a non-partisan NDAA
