House Speaker Kevin McCarthy recently announced that he’s recommending a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Once again, he’s shown that he’s more focused on political stunts and caving to pressure from extremists instead of getting things done for our communities.
With a GOP-controlled House through 2024, we can expect more political theater—not meaningful progress on the issues that matter.
McCarthy is launching this inquiry on unfounded claims, and it’s dangerous for our democracy. This latest act is nothing more than fodder for far-right extremists to continue pushing their reckless ideology and conspiracies.
At a time when the country is nearing a government shutdown without a compromise in sight, this stunt is downright irresponsible.
