Earlier this month, I was proud to join a group of bipartisan legislators to introduce a bill to help put an end to abuse and sexual violence in sports: The Safer Sports for Athletes Act.

I voted to prevent a government shutdown and deliver urgently needed disaster aid to Western North Carolina.
Western North Carolina is counting on Congress to act, but Republicans would rather shut down the government because an unelected billionaire told them to.
